Workshop: Let Romanian Tradition Inspire You
Romanian tradition continues to inspire us.
During workshop we will take a look on the Romanian traditional textiles, architecture and interiors.
Each region has a specific use of colors and motifs.
Learn about traditional houses in different parts of Romania - study the motifs in the traditional rugs / embroideries / woodcarving / ceramics
You will make a floor plan, decorate the facade of a traditional house, and make mood board.
You will collect your ideas in a journal, combine colors, small sketches of what comes up in our mind.
You will look through magazines for ideas, and maybe not only for interior. A journal can be a collection of inspiration for the next year, the holidays, cooking ideas, or whatever personal project you are working on.
A walk in the mountains to collect flowers and plants so we can relax by weaving them in some textiles.
And there will be relaxing time to walk around in the village and discover what the local people make. Visit the blacksmith, take a look how Gerda is making jam, and not to forget a visit of the famous fortified church which is part of the UNESCO heritage.
You will stay in a small village where it seems life came to a stop. Viscri is one of the hidden treasures you still find in Romania.

WEDNESDAY
Arriving around noon in Viscri - Lunch - Workshop in afternoon from 2PM till 5PM - visiting the blacksmith - Dinner
THURSDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM till 1PM - lunch break - Workshop in afternoon from 2PM till 4PM - visiting visiting fortified church - Dinner
FRIDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM till 1PM - lunch break
