PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue

Classic Blue, the new color of the year of Pantone is a blue hue that brings confidence and connection. An enduring blue hue which highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which we build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of confidence and constancy that is expressed by PANTONE Classic Blue 19-4052, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on. Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”

You can’t get a more classical combination than Classic Blue with white. It will bring us immediately in a summer mood as we think of the beach and splashing water. Add some natural wood and it will be a perfect and timeless combination for a summer house. Quite traditional but very relaxing. Just the idea of going to the beach, to see the blue sky and we feel an instant relaxation coming over us.

Classic Blue works very well in a modern interior. Play with different blue tones. Make it very graphical and create a clear statement. A cotton velvet in contrast with a high lacquered piece of furniture and you will have a cool and bold interior. Give it a dramatic touch, whit this classical color combination you can’t go wrong.

Ethnic touches will bring warmth to Classic blue. Blue can be a very relaxing color but you have to take care not to make it to cold. To much blue will make you depressive. How can you make it look warmer? Vintage touch, natural died materials, mix of styles, distressed wood and some greyish pastel tones will match perfectly to create a homy look.

Very refined dining with Classic Blue dinnerware. I would never suggest to paint your dining room completely in blue, but it would be a great experience to dine in such a trendy restaurant. Presenting food on a dark plate can give it festive touch. Black would be to much, classic blue could a very good option. I’m just thinking now: imagine a panna cotta with a coulis of strawberries and a small mint leave. What do you say? Or dark blue macaroons? Very stylish.

Classic Blue is an evergreen, it will bring a contemporary touch to a classical interior when used on a big surface. In a chaotic world we go often back to classics, we can count on them, they won’t get out of trend in a year. It brings us stability. Combine classical with modern for a refreshing look.
