Mid-Week Workshop: Back in Time with the Cucuteni
Back in time to discover more about the Cucuteni culture of Eastern Europe. As earlier as 5000 BC they were farmers making long-distance trade. They were also ahead of their time in art and technology, well before the glory of Greece and Rome.
Learn their way of living - how they build their houses and structure their villages
We will study their motifs and symbols and get inspired to create embroidered fabric covers to embellish empty glass bottles and jars to be used as vases, and creation of table setting.
A relaxing walk in the mountains to collect flowers and plants that can be weaved in to textiles, coasters and wall decorations.
Let us get creative with what we find in the meadows.
There will be relaxing time to visit the fortified church and discover what the local people created. You can leave with your designed felt slippers, homemade jam or honey.

TUESDAY
Arriving around noon in Viscri - Lunch - from 3PM until 5PM DISCOVERING THE CUCUTENI culture - visiting the blacksmith - Dinner
WEDNESDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM until 1PM - lunch break - Workshop in afternoon from 2PM until 4PM - visiting visiting fortified church and village - Dinner
THURSDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM until 1PM - lunch - Workshop from 2PM until 4PM - visiting the brick maker - Dinner
FRIDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - relaxed morning; possibility to rent a bike or go on a horse-riding tour
