Weekend Workshop: Weaving Romanian Textiles into a Journal
Romanian tradition continues to inspire us. During weekend workshop we will take a look on the traditional textiles, specially those used in the interior.
Different regions, different use of colors, different motifs. Lets take a look this year to the beautiful flat woven rugs.
Dyeing with plants is so fascinating that we will take look and try out different plants and flowers and see the result. During the Hygge weekend in March we all got addicted to the macrame, weaving will have the same effect. Let's get creative with yarns, branches, leaves, paper.
The motifs of the rugs will inspire us to be used in the interior, to design our own rug, or to make beautiful color harmonies for our home.
We will collect our ideas in a journal.
Make floor plans, combine colors, small sketches of what comes up in our mind.
We will look through magazines for ideas, and maybe not only for interior. A journal can be a collection of inspiration for the next year, the holidays, cooking ideas, or whatever personal project you are working on.
And there will be relaxing time to walk around in the village and discover what the local people make.
You will stay in a small village where it seems life came to a stop. Viscri is one of the hidden treasures you still find in Romania.

Arriving on Friday 18th of May: Workshop on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of May - leaving Sunday afternoon
a day will look as follow:
SATURDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM till 1PM - lunch break - Workshop in afternoon from 2PM till 5PM - free time to wonder around in the village - Dinner
SUNDAY
Breakfast at 9AM - Workshop from 10AM till 1PM - lunch break - Workshop in afternoon from 2PM till 4PM
