Now is the Time

Now is the time to make your breakfast corner as soon summer will turn into autumn. You are still filled with your holiday memories, there is no better place in the house than the breakfast corner to bring in this summer feeling and to enjoy it for the rest of the year.

Bring in some traditional heritage

The dark wood of the table and chairs will get transformed immediately in a sunny corner by decorating it with stripes, flowers and embroidered fabrics. Let the Romanian country side inspire you. There is a joy when you see the people wearing their traditional costumes, and even more when you see them singing and dancing. Not a bad start of the day to surround you with all this. Add some colorful flowers on the table, to enjoy breakfast every morning of the week.

Let nature give you a fresh start

Nature is giving us endless inspiration, peace and energy. The natural color palette will be very relaxing and no fear that in a few months you would like to change it again. It is a perfect evergreen. These days you can find a lot of wallpaper collections inspired by nature. Terrariums are very trendy these days, easy to keep those plants alive, even easier to have them printed on wallpaper. Natural colors, natural materials. Light wood, rattan, linen and cotton are a perfect choice. I loved those melamine plates, they will make every meal special, not only breakfast. Make your breakfast corner different, let it be an experience every morning. No better way to start the day than to travel in your mind.

Create a 5 star breakfast corner

No time in the week for a real breakfast? But what about the weekend? Image a relaxed breakfast as if you were in the hotel, not the classical setting of a table and some chairs, but a more comfortable red velvet armchair and some small Moroccan table to bring you back to the wonders of Marrakech. Geometric patterns can be a great inspiration for the wallpaper, rug, fabrics. And enjoy your breakfast as sitting in your 5 star suite.

Bold colors for an exotic ambiance

What can be more summer holiday than an exotic destination? You will be surrounded by bold colors, big green plants of the jungle, blue sky. Easy to translate that at your home. There are a lot of options for murals, they can be printed on the dimensions you need for your wall. A small table and 2 or 3 comfortable dining chairs. And the bar cart in colorful rattan will help you to serve breakfast in style.

A very refined breakfast corner with inspiration from the East

India will always be a destination which makes us dream of another world. The old palaces, the fabrics for the sari, the wood block prints. Combine small motifs with some bigger printed kashmir motifs. Use ribbons and fringes to bring in a very feminine touch. Pastel colors and a lot of white will make your bow window the place to be in the morning. The soft colors will give you, even on the most grey winter day, a colorful start. See the pendant lamp and imagine a soft breeze going through, the holiday memories are not far away.

Add mirrors to get more light inside

Venice is another of those destinations which, just the thought of it, will bring you immediately in another world. Think of the shimmer of the water, the reflection on the buildings, the different marble colors, the fine mosaics and you will have a rich inspiration to bring into your home. The winter months can be quite dark, put a big mirror on a wall close to the window to bring in more day light. Combine different small printed motifs to give it a bit an old-fashioned touch. Choose well your light fixtures. Brass flatware will make each breakfast precious.

Blue and white for a fresh summer splash, all year round

Blue and white will always make us think of the seaside. Fresh, not complicated and easy to give it another sparkle when adding a bright color. Portugal with their amazing facades can be a timeless inspiration for wallpaper, tiles, or you could have a collection of ceramic plates or old tiles put on the wall as pieces of art. Paint your kitchen chairs in different blue tones. And make it an amazing place to have your breakfast by adding something a bit out of scale, as I found that amazing Koi pendant lamp. Let your imagination fly high, as if you would be still somewhere on holiday.
