We see all those glamorous interiors in magazines and on social media. Amazing locations, elegant furniture, beautiful color combinations. But what turns good design in to great design? It is all in the details.

And those details are not necessarily visible from the first moment. You discover them in time, they can be so invisible that you will maybe never notice, but you will be aware that there is something different. Great design can be very discrete and will only be seen by those who have an eye for it. Great design can improve your wellbeing, the functionality.

Exquisite materials, refined color harmony, latest technology to incorporate elements that are maybe not that alluring for the eye. We only have to think of the bathroom where we have the shower drain, the toilet flush. When you can take them away from your view, this room gets an instant wellness feeling.

It can be really the small things that make a huge impact. Good craftsmanship, an constructor with an eye for detail, an architect who knows the latest introductions on the market for construction methods and an interior designer with a love for details. They will turn your home in more than you could dream of, they will create an environment where you feel will feel home.

Combining different materials, knowing how they will react in time and finding solutions to bring out the best. And those elements which we see as a refined details are maybe more than just decorative, often they also make the installation easier or are even needed. Those elements are sometimes even needed, but than there is the choice between looking for the regular solution or for the one with an added value.

A constant search for new materials, looking for materials with an “out of the box” way of working. You will create a real wow effect and not because it is in a strong color or strange shape, no because what you see is un-expected and maybe you have to look twice to really understand what makes it so outstanding.

An appealing kitchen where all technology is as much as hidden. The hood doesn’t have to take away the view when you create this beautiful ope kitchen; a downdraft extractor discreetly hidden away. all gas burners are directly integrated in your worktop. It can’t be more minimalist, and easy to maintain. No where more important, than in the kitchen, to take care that you can open and close the drawers and doors of your kitchen cabinets without problems. Quality of the hidden parts are as important as the look of your kitchen.

More and more attention goes these days in to the dressing room. LED light to make it easy to make your choice in the morning. A large selection of drawer dividers, made on measure depending on the needs and nicely covered with fabric or leather. An open dressing is often the ultimate dream, but some protection can be more beneficial for your cloths. Glass doors with a metal frame will combine the beauty and the practical side.

Building furniture such as walk in dressings or bookshelves can be just putting some pieces of wood or MDF together, but it can be much more. Combination of materials, the construction details, the inside of the furniture, the handcrafted cabinet handles. Ever thought of covering the doors with some fabric or wallpaper for an delightful look.

And maybe you will say: why to think of the feet of the furniture, you won’t notice. You will, it are the small details which will make the difference. They will make it look astonishing.

So what makes the difference

  • exquisite materials and the combination of the materials

  • the smallest details

  • the construction of the furniture

  • discrete elements will make the difference

  • think in a minimalist way, not necessarily in a minimalist style

Will you look with another eye, the next time you are going to look for another piece of furniture? Or maybe you are at the stage of building a house or doing some renovation.

Have a great week!
