Spring weather will arrive one day, hopefully soon. In the mean time you can bring the spring feeling into your home. When I think of spring, I think of pastels and flowers. This is the time to refresh your interior and the best way to do this is to start with decluttering and a good round of cleaning in all the corners of the house.

You want a fresh vibe in your home after all those months spending indoor with the heating on. Even when we open the windows on a daily base to get fresh air in, there is some dust hanging in the air. Why not buy some new tools to make the cleaning more fun. Rugs will be taken out as they collect dust, the curtains will be washed, the windows are getting , to leave the sun inside, a good clean and we will feel immediately that spring is coming into our homes. Take advantage of this moment and declutter your kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe. You will see, once you start you will feel it is so deliberating that you will continue in the other rooms.

Once all the cleaning and decluttering is done we will get a good view on what we can or have to do in our home. We can go to stage two. of our spring project. A bit of color here and there will change the look of a room in an instant. Don’t be afraid, it is only paint, you can always change it. Think about it: paint one door in a special color, you will bring joy in your home. Color accents can brigthen up each room.

Next step is the bathroom. Often we keep all those funny colors of nail polish, take a look if you are going to use them again this season. If not, easy solution: garbage. You take everything in your hands to see if nothing is expired and if you are still going to use it. Two options: garbage or in a box to giveaway. Than the fun part comes: let’s add color. You want to make some real changes or add some color touches to bring in a complete new vibe. A small floor mat, a colorful shower curtain, new towels and you are ready to enter each morning in a room that will make you smile.

You can compare the kitchen with the bathroom. Decluttering should get a habit here. How many times do you take something out of the cupboard that expired long time ago? Or than you start cleaning those cupboards and you discover some nice plates you all forgot about. Two boxes: garbage and giveaway. And than you can bring in some new accessories that will change the look of your kitchen so you will be in the mood of spending time there and prepare some delicious meals.

If there is one room we can decorate in a more romantic room than it will be the bedroom. Pastels colors and flowers are a perfect match for this room. Add as much flowers as you wish, pillows with ruffles, and one pastel color next to the other to bring in a very contemporary look. There is such a choice in floral wallpaper, going from classical to modern that you will for sure find one fitting your style.

We are spending now already a year working from home; did you finally decided to upgrade your room or working space? If not this can be the moment. We will never go back to full time working in the office, so take a good look and get your space organized. A simple book shelf and some colorful boxes can do the job. Important that you feel inspired here to work eight hours in a row.

Re-arrange the objects in your living room or on the book shelves, add fresh cut flowers. Small changes in a room can have a big impact. Once you move things around you will get the impression you have new things in your home. We are getting so used having those things around us that we are no longer aware that we have them. And why not make your own room spray and this fresh scent will bring spring into your home in no time.

And let spring also inspire you for your table decoration, and why not your next dinner party. Bring the pastel colors to the table and on your dish. Colored plates, small vases with flowers for a special celebration, or not even, you deserve to have a well set table every evening of the week.
