A Year in 12 Moods

Another year has passed, reflecting on 2017 and looking forward to make 2018 a year to remember.

January

" January is the month for dreaming" Jean Hersey

February

The month of love, feeling energized. The first spring flowers are adding some fresh colors after the grey winter months.

March

As would say: "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." Charles Dickens

April

"There is no glory in star or blossom till looked upon by a loving eye; There is no fragrance in April breezes till breathed with joy as they wander by." William C. Bryant

May

"If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom." Audra Foveo

June

What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade. Gertrude Jekyll

July

"Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability." Sam Keen

August

“Now the windows, blinded by the glare of the empty square, had fallen asleep. The balconies declared their emptiness to heaven; the open doorways smelt of coolness and wine.” Bruno Schulz

September

“We know that in September, we will wander through the warm winds of summer's wreckage. We will welcome summer's ghost.” Heny Rollins

October

“October had tremendous possibility. The summer's oppressive heat was a distant memory, and the golden leaves promised a world full of beautiful adventures. They made me believe in miracles.” Sarah Guillory, Reclaimed

November

The foggy air tells us that we are into the heart of autumn. The light is changing, the air is crisp. November, a month inviting us to reflect. We can savor the calm weekends, the cozy times covered under a layer of texture, sipping a cup of tea.

December

The days continue to get shorter, the air feels freezing cold. Time to reflect, to be thankful for which has been provided over the last year, and to take time for spreading some joy and warmth around you.

I enjoyed making those mood boards to capture the spirit of the month. Looking back now on the last year..... I think I love most February, or November.... I can't choose.

Let me know which was your favorite month. And enjoy the last days of 2017.
