Add Color in an Unexpected Way

Most of us love color. Most of us are afraid to make a mistake by adding color. A small touch of color can have an enormous effect. So make a statement, choose a bold color and think out of the box.

An unexpected pop of color can give us a complete different perception of the room. Paint the arch in the entrance in your favorite color, and if you are courageous you can paint another wall in the room in the same tone. The painted arch can divide a long corridor in two. When painting also one wall in the same color you play with the depth of the room, and make it feel cozier.

Thinking out of the box can simply be: painting the legs of those old chairs in a fluo color and your chair will get the look of an expensive modern design chair. On the internet you find hundreds of Ikea hack. A creative interior doesn’t have to be expensive make it whimsical. It is always a question of keeping the budget in balance when decorating your home.

Some discreet color touches make the space more interesting, specially as you won’t notice it at once. You will discover those fun-loving details only while paying more attention. Did you notice the fine trim at the skirting? It will spice up the space.

When we think of color, we think of artsy, joyful, playful. Let’s do it with confidence. The possibilities are endless; going from a color pop by adding a small pouf, decorating with a painting to turn your white wall in an art work.

Ever thought of giving your boring white tiles in the bathroom or kitchen a modern vibe by simply using a colorful grout. You create in an instant a graphical background. To much for you? You don’t have to use such strong colors, you can get an elegant effect by using a beige or grey tone.

We have seen now the ombre effect for some seasons, but it seems as it will become an evergreen. Painting your banister with this degrade look will bring your classical staircase to another level. Windows and doors are quite an investment when building or renovating your home and a more neutral color is an evident choice, but why not one window in a strong color?

With color you can define an area in a room, as we will see often in the open-workspaces. One big open space can be overwhelming, dividing it visually in different areas makes it easier for everybody to find his space. In a small apartment this color accent can put as well in evidence an specific area . In this case you create visually a bigger space as it looks as you have more designated areas in that room.

And than we get stressed when we have some pipes running up the wall or over the ceiling, our first idea is to find a way to hide them. Why not putting them in evidence? It will look much more fascinating and it can bring a trendy industrial touch to the room.
