We live in a time that neutral colors are trend, Mocha Mousse is Pantone’s color of the year. Everything blends in. Maybe this is not you, or you get a bit bored with all those neutral colors. There is no need to change all, just adding a touch of color can make a world of difference.

Color can change our mood and emotions in different ways. Color is a powerful tool in interior design, capable of changing even the perception of space within the room. When you do a renovation there are always aspects you would like to hide. However, instead of hiding them, why not putting them in evidence? Paint that radiator in a color, vibrant or in a dark neutral, it gets transformed into a statement instead of hiding it.

It will be the center of the house, making a colorful link between the day area and the night area. Paint it simple in a color or get more creative. All depending the overall style of the house. Big tiles with marble look continue to be still high in trend this season, but I mentioned to you a few weeks ago in the trend 2025 blog post, that tiles are making a comeback. Your budget is tight and you seek to make something stylish in bathroom or kitchen, consider using simple white tiles and select a contrasting color for the grout to add a unique touch. Those boring white tiles get a high end design look.
Good design is all in the details. Perhaps it is time to re-upholster that sofa to create a fresh look in the living room. Or maybe you need a new sofa and go for a brand that allows you to personalise your sofa by selecting the fabric as well as the color that fits your interior. Adding a color touch by using a piping in a contrast color is an excellent way to create a real designer’s piece, unique and stylish.
Did you ever think of adding a color accent to your ceiling? I guess not. Think about it for a moment. However, take care if your ceiling is not high enough, as putting even a simple line at the edge of the wall can give the illusion that your ceiling is lower than it actually is.

Surprise yourself every morning when you open your closet: a touch of color can bring you in a positive mood that is sure to stay with you throughout the entire day. It can be simply painted or you could add some wallpaper in the back. Before you start painting your furniture ask a professional some advice, what paint to use, what about a primer. So you can be sure about the final result. If not that positive mood you are looking for can get a frustration. And this is not what we are aiming for, right?

Arches have been a poplular trend since a few years now, they are still present, they are destined to get an evergreen in architecture and interior design. So let them be the accent in the room. When you paint them in a vibrant color they will set the mood for the room. You can apply this to each passage you have in the house, not necessarily an arch.
You have an old furniture that can use something to give it an upgrade. Colorful handles can uplift the most boring cabinet. Or you buy a simple piece of furniture at Ikea and turn it into a design piece. Small touches can make a big difference. Look around, get creative and now that spring is arriving soon, it is time to bring a fresh wind into your home.
Not afraid about color: in that case lets go
paint one wall in a color, this is a classical one
paint the staircase, for the courageous one
add color to an architectural element, can also be a door
don’t hide, put in evidence by painting it
small accents can make a big statement
Afraid to use colors: start small and get confidence! You will see how much joy it will bring you.
When you add some color, you change your home. Changing your home can change your life… for the better.
