We start feeling autumn as it slowly takes its place. The temperatures are dropping, evenings grow darker much earlier and the morning light arrives later. I love autumn, the warmth of summer is replaced by different kind of warmth, one that wraps you as it puts a warm blanket across your shoulders. The light is not longer so bright, colors become more muted, and soon the green leaves will surrender to the warm colors so typical for this season.
Summer comes to an end and we feel that autumn will arrive soon, the sun goes down earlier. The mornings and evenings are getting cooler. Autumn is the season of memories, as souvenirs of a beautiful summer.
Autumn arrived, the mountains are the place to go now. Enjoying the weekends when the temperatures allow us still to spend time outdoor. We will slowly see the colors change from dark green in to the warm autumn colors.
When we think of pastels we think of spring, right? Use some pastels for your interior and make a nice transition from summer in to autumn. As if you would see the colors through the fog on an early autumn morning, that is the spirit of the autumn pastels; muted and grayish.
Autumn is arriving slowly this year, it is a season which inspires me to write about HYGGE, a Danish and Norwegian word, which can not be translated to one single word. It was never meant to be translated, it was meant to be felt.
It is the time that those endless shades of green shift softly into a palette of warm colours. Autumn has a peculiar personality of its own which is powerfully attractive. It is the time of transition, to switch your outdoor time for lounging in front of the fire place.
Autumn is the time for warm, rich and cosy colours. It is largely associated with dark colours, but it is time to rethink your autumn colour palette. Classical autumn colours are hues of burnt orange, red, golden yellow, hunters green, and chocolate brown. Pastels and intense colours shouldn't be considered only for spring and summer.
